Are you looking for a way to reach new readers? Network with other authors in your genre? Meet authors in a different genre? Alternatively, do you have bookish merchandise readers would love to get their hands on? Are you looking for a way to reach a new audience?

Then we're looking for you!

Book Fair Australia is looking for new and established authors, bookish vendors and other related merchants (e.g., publishers, bookstores, etc) to exhibit at our event. Our event will be held on 21 – 22 February 2026 at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre (MCEC). You'll be able to meet and network with other exhibitors, and reach the book lovers coming through our doors with one goal in mind – books.

Fill in the form below to apply. Please note, applications are on a first in basis, with a limited number of stalls available for each genre. Please ensure your work contains no offensive or phobic material. All applications will be reviewed by Book Fair Australia staff, who will have the final say on whether or not your book(s) and/or merchandise are appropriate for the event.

All exhibitors must complete their own application form. Exhibitors who wish to be located next to each other may detail that in the options below. Any authors who wish to share a stall with another author must also complete their own application form and select the Half Stall option.

Applications will only be accepted through the below form. Any applications through other outlets, including phone, email and in person, will not be considered.

Book Fair Australia reserves the right to refuse exhibition to any exhibitor and/or to ban a book/merchandise from being shown or sold at the event.

Please note, this form works best on a desktop device rather than a mobile phone.

Merchandise & Services
I understand that, as this is a family friendly event, no sexually explicit material or nudity may be on display. Such items may still be sold but must not be visible to children.

Optional Extras
Book Fair Australia hands out Stamp Trail cards that attendees can have stamped by different exhibitors. This encourages attendees to visit all of the participating exhibitors each day and gives them the opportunity to win a pass to the next event.
This year, the Stamp Trail includes an all ages and a Not Safe For Kids (NSFK) option. We will also display Stamp Trail maps to assist attendees in locating each stamp.
Insurance Details
I understand that I will be responsible for purchasing my own market stall public liability insurance for $10 million for the event and must email this information to Book Fair Australia no later than 1 month prior to the event. If I do not provide a valid policy number, my table will be forfeited with no refund.
If you already have public liability insurance that will still be valid at the time of the event, please provide the details here.
Marketing Opportunities
All exhibitors will be announced in a GROUP post (no more than 8 exhibitors per post) on our social media pages. Exhibitors may also request to purchase an additional INDIVIDUAL announcement post to be shared on our pages. We are offering discounted rates for some of these opportunities if you book them at the time of submitting your application. Spaces may be limited and selection may be on a first in basis.
Event Terms & Conditions
I understand that safety hi-vis vests are required during bump-in and bump-out as the venue will be classified as a 'construction' zone. If you do not have a safety hi-vis vest, you will not be allowed access to the venue.
I have read and agree to abide by the Event terms and conditions.
I understand that I, and any people that I give an Exhibitor Pass to, must wear the exhibitor pass at all times while at the event.
I understand that my contact details will be shared with the Venue and Build company, as important information regarding the event will be shared to exhibitors via these companies.
I understand that Book Fair Australia retains the right to refuse exhibitors who use AI in the production of their works. This includes, but is not exclusive to, cover artwork, story conception and structure.
I understand that only officially licensed merchandise should be available from exhibitors.
